La Petite Maison [The Little House] is a performance created especially for the inauguration of the Domaine de Muy. A wooden cottage is suspended from a helicopter, then released in mid-air to crash down in the midst of nature. This act is characteristic of the spectacular violence at work in Roman Signer’s performances. As he says himself, ‘for me, an explosion is not a destruction but a transformation’.
