Jonathan Monk replays, recasts and re-examines famous works of Conceptual and Minimal Art in ingenious way. He playfully the works and the ideas of his predecessors such as Mark Rothko, Bruce Nauman, or here, Sol LeWitt. Through his Appropriation works, he questions the tendency of contemporary art to devour references, simultaneously paying homage to the most renowned artists.
