The sculpture is inspired by the form of an immense, solid boulder, which it transforms into a modern, digital, smooth, and precise object, as though laser cut. Using the most innovative production techniques, Arik Levy blurs the line between sculpture and contemporary design. The polished, mirrored, stainless steel surfaces of Big Rock do not simply reflect nature, they create optical illusions which distort our perception of the surrounding environment.
